ཞིབ་བརྗོད།
This simple plugin changes the user based permalink slug ‘author’ to anything you wish.
For example, you have an e-learning management system where different members teach on different topics. Each member has his/her unique profile url (author permalink) something like this: http://nazmulahsan.me/author/admin
Now you wish the word ‘author’ to be changed to ‘teacher’. So, this is the plugin you need.

- Upload the
rename-author-slugfolder and its contents to yourwp-contents/pluginsdirectory. - Activate in the
Pluginsmenu. - Configure from WordPress admin area.

OnceI had this plugin installed I noticed that the Menu Icon for the Media Library was missing. Otherwise the plugin is working just like it supposed to: realibly renames the author URL slug into anything I like.
