ཞིབ་བརྗོད།

Bettercode Waiting List adds a customizable popup signup form to your site so visitors can join a waiting list before launch.

Features

  • Popup triggered by any CSS selector you choose (button, link, class, etc.), configurable under Waiting List → Settings.
  • Fully editable popup text: title, description, field labels, placeholders, and success message.
  • Style controls for fonts, colors, sizes, padding, and popup dimensions — no code required.
  • Stores signups (name, email, timestamp) in a dedicated database table, with duplicate-email protection.
  • Sends a confirmation email to the subscriber (customizable subject/body, optional header image and call-to-action button) and a notification email to the site admin.
  • Admin screen to view, delete, and export (CSV) collected signups.

External services

This plugin can optionally load a font from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) if you pick one of the built-in Google Font options under Waiting List → Settings → Popup Style. When a Google Font is selected, the visitor’s browser requests that font’s stylesheet directly from Google’s servers. If you leave the font setting on its default or pick a system font, no request is made to Google Fonts.

See Google’s privacy policy for details on their service: https://policies.google.com/privacy

སྒྲིག་འཇུག

  1. Upload the plugin files to the /wp-content/plugins/bettercode-waiting-list directory, or install the plugin through the WordPress plugins screen directly.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ screen in WordPress.
  3. Go to Waiting List → Settings to set the button/link selector that opens the popup, and customize its text and style.
  4. Add a button or link anywhere on your site matching that selector — clicking it opens the waiting list popup.

FAQ

How do I choose which button opens the popup?

Go to Waiting List → Settings and set the “Button selector” field to any valid CSS selector (e.g. .my-button, #join-btn, a[href="#waitlist"]). Any element matching that selector will open the popup when clicked.

Where are the signups stored?

Signups are stored in a dedicated table in your WordPress database, not sent to any external service. You can view, delete, or export them (CSV) from the Waiting List admin page.

Can I customize the confirmation email?

Yes. Under Waiting List → Settings you can edit the subject and body text, add a header image, and add an optional call-to-action button with its own text, URL, and colors.
